December 20, 2012 - Happy Holidays and MWM Update

Meals with Mentors has slowly been gaining steam over the last few months. I, myself, feel fortunate to have met with 3 entrepreneur
mentors who each gave me an hour of their time over lunch. I got some of the most helpful business advice I received all year. On the
other side of the coin, I got to be a mentor to a few mentees – one of whom met with myself and about 4 other mentors.

In November, we enlisted the help of 2 professionals who believe in the MWM cause (Yuli and Vickie.) They deserve a big shout out for
helping to run the social media of our website among other tasks. Most of the tweets you see are written by them.

Lastly, we’d like to thank you all for your support during our first year in operation. Meals with Mentors is a work in progress, and we not
only value your feedback, but we appreciate your patience as we continue to build a bigger and better product. We encourage you to also
follow us on our Twitter feed @mealswmentors as we plan on using this to build our user base. Thanks again, and warmest wishes for the
holiday season. May you all have an extra prosperous 2013. .

August 10, 2012 - More Testimonials From Mentors/Mentees Who've Lunched with Us

Just wanted to share our most recent testimonial from Courtney (mentor) and Sarah (mentee) who had lunch earlier this month.

"It was a great experience!  Sarah was very open about what she wants and we had a great conversation about her goals and what
she thinks she might be interested in - and I gave her some ideas and tips based on my experience. I had a couple job leads for
her and after the meeting she sent her resume and I sent it along to the prospective jobs.  She's smart and outgoing so I don't think
have a hard time finding something, but it was wonderful to be able to share my experience and give her ideas for jobs she may not have considered
or known about. Thanks." -Courtney

I have also had lunches via Meals with Mentors as a mentee. This past week, I learned so much from Dan D. (over at Cross
Campus) where we talked about start-ups over lunch at Swingers in Santa Monica.  Speaking of start-ups, we were mentioned
in another article called 10 Things Entrepreneurs DON'T Need to Start a Company. Stay tuned for another update next month.

July 16, 2012 - LA Business Journal Article on Meals With Mentors

OK, so I'm actually writing this update on July 13th, but I just got word that the LA Business Journal will be doing a piece on us this
Monday. Very excited about that, but even more excited about some of the very cool mentors that signed up in the last week.

Ilya Posin - Famed LA Entrpreneur who became a millionaire in his early 20s. Here are just a few of his awards: Inc. Magazine's 30
Under 30, Empact 100 White House Award: 2011, LinkedIn's Most Popular Story of 2011. We're so honored to have him.  He had
a mentor himself, (Tom Antion) which helped launch his career. Other notables are: An Executive Producer of Mobile Games at
Zynga, an Exec in Charge of Production for Reality TV Shows like Undercover Boss, and numerous CEOs and Angel Investors.
I'll be inviting many of them to lunch myself as I have plenty to learn.

We've also had over a dozen lunches so far with some amazing feedback.  Here's just one testimonial. "This seems like one
of those concepts the internet should have been invented for.  In my two lunches thus far, I've gotten a ton of useful advice,
some referrals to other professionals, and most importantly, made personal connections with people I admire with whom I can
keep in touch and possibly work with in the future."

We have big plans for this site (including getting national chain restaurant sponsorshops, reaching out to celebrities to be listed as
mentors and a lot more), but we need your help, and it will only take 2 minutes of your time. Simply sign up as a mentor. The
worst that can happen is you get a few emails from someone who wants to learn from you. All your contact info is
hidden, and you're never obligated to go to any lunch at all unless you approve the mentee.  We're really trying to get to 1000
mentors by mid August. Please help this happen. The good karma will come back to you tenfold. Sign up here

June 28, 2012 - 3 Big Press Mentions for Meals With Mentors

We're very happy to report that we received 3 nice press mentions all within the same week. Please check them out if you can.

Socal Tech, Idea Mensch, and Tasty Trade (radio).  We were very flattered that Mario, the Idea Mensch interviewer, after doing
almost 900 interviews (with people like Seth Godin), said that ours was one of the best he's done. Here's our official press release.

First off, we want to give a big shout out to all of our supporters who signed up as mentors during our first week.  We currently
have over 50, based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County, San Diego, New York, and Florida.  They include
Emmy nominated producers, eye doctors and online marketing experts.  Our goal is to get to 1000 mentors by August 10th.

We'd so appreciate it.

In other news, Evan Aaronson will be moderating a panel called Small Business in the Digital Age at the Silcon Beach Fest.

Brick and mortar small businesses and solo practitioners are now using innovative digital tools to become more
streamlined and increase their profits. These include shop owners, lawyers, accountants, massage therapists, freelancers, or
anyone who’s self employed. In this discussion, we’ll talk about how they’re staying ahead of the curve with tools like social
media, blogging, viral videos, crowd funding, co-working, text marketing, collective buying sites, SEO and a lot more. Our
panel will help cut through the clutter of information out there and give you a general overview of what you need to get going.

May 28, 2012 - Meals with Mentors - Beta Launch

We couldn't be more pleased to launch the beta version of Meals with Mentors.  This site has been in development for quite
some time, and we look forward to receiving user feedback.  The seed of this project began out of our own frustrations of
having to unnecessarily re-invent the wheel whenever we wanted to learn something new. Through mentorship, the learning curve
for any new endeavor doesn't have to be steep at all. It can be easy and fun. Please read more about this journey in the blog.

In the meantime, we ask for your support in the following ways:

1) Sign up as a mentor, and yes, anyone can be a mentor. If you need help with signing up, please contact us.

2) Please share our link in your Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin account.  You simply need to paste the link in
your status update, and say something like "Check out this cool new site."

Thanks again for all your support, and as the site grows, we plan on adding more features like ratings and reviews, so
stay tuned.

:) Evan  & Lillian Aaronson
